Chat Support Followup

As a followup to my previous post on ecommerce hints, one of our clients reported that using chat support for ecommerce has helped them close a couple of large sales. They don't get many chats requesting support, but it does seem worthwhile.

Google Analytics Individual Qualification

Most of you have Google Analytics installed on your site. I hope you look at the Analytics reports every month or so. If not, I encourage you to dust it off and re-examine the statistics. To help you make sense of the numbers, I just passed the Google Analytics Individual Qualification(IQ) test. Anyone can take the lessons for free, but the certification test costs a bit and is valid for 18 months. The test was, quite fankly, tougher than I thought it would be. Backing Up on Square Wheels

One of the things we try hard to do is not reinvent the wheel. That's why we use Joomla! instead of writing our own Content Management System, why we search hard for off-the-shelf components before we write our own. For our servers, we rent from a large, reputable company and use one of the three industry-standard control panels. This is to give our customers the best value for their money by not reinventing wheels and for security, in case we lose a team member as standard skills are much easier to replace.
