Top of Mind from 3by400

Our blog posts are the result of issues and opportunities we see in our daily work. They are designed to increase understanding and provide a source of vision for your web presence.

On-line Joomal Training

Kim does a great job with Joomla training for our clients, but some folks may want training that's available after hours or on short notice, (whenever they have a few minutes). For those cases, we recommend JoomlaTraining.com. It's actually local and run by our friend Steve Burge. They have great video training library on a lot of Joomla topics.

Joomla 1.5.21 Released

Joomla 1.5.21 has been released. This addresses a medium-severity security bug, but one I've never seen exploited on any of our sites. For all our hosting customers who aren't running JACL, we've updated your site to 1.5.21 at no additional charge. This service is part of what you're paying for when you host with 3by400.

More Google Apps coming

We set up all of our clients on Google Apps for email, wikis (google sites), calendar, etc. We use the same applications internally, and quite heavily. Google has just announced that this fall, there will be many more applications available in the Apps Suite, including Picasa, Reader, AdWords, and much more. Please see the official announcement for more details. We've signed up to be beta testers, no word yet on if we'll be in the beta program or not. We'll keep you posted.
