Cool Tools
for 3by400 Clients
June, 2007 - Vol 1, Issue 1

This is the first installment of Cool Tools--an attempt to make your life as administrator easier. We'll share tips and tricks, new finds, and other resources that will expand your repertoire or give you something helpful to pass on to the users under your care.

If you like this kind of thing, stick around! If not, follow the SafeUnsubscribe link at the bottom of the page and you won't have to delete it every month...or say bad things about us spamming you!

If there's a topic you'd like to see addressed here, just let us know. We''ll try to dole things out in tidbits, but always have enough for you to learn something new, effective, and...well...cool!

Update on Gerry
Gerry's not moving quite as quickly as before, but he looks great and says he feels better than he has all year. He doesn't recommend being in the hospital as the best diet plan and is really excited to be home. Thanks to all for prayers, cards, and gifts!
Beth's Tip - Joomla! User's Guide
Joomla Manual CoverAre you aware that there really is a User's Guide for Joomla! ? You'll find a very large PDF on the Joomla! web site. It's the handiest 183-page download you'll have.
Seriously, since it is a PDF, if printing is truly necessary, please save some trees and print only the pages you need at that time. Since updates to Open Source software sometime happen a warp speed, it's probably easiest to find what you need online within the PDF...no printing required, and it includes a handy, dandy index.
Brent's Tip - Google Mail Tips Site Listing
It's quite satisfying to see the high level of acceptance of Google Mail (for business) by our clients. Most of the domains we support now have the mail function "out-sourced" to Google and everyone is trying to learn how to make this product "sing" for them.
To help you on this front, I have constructed a list of links to sites that can teach you a thing or two about living in Google Mail. Check it out.
This topic coincides with Beth's latest 400 Edition article about the World of Google I that you might find interesting. With that name, there must be a follow-up in store for us.
